NEW AWARD FILED. (rKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) WELLINGTON", September 23. The Arbitration Conrt lias liled an award for the engineering trade. The hours remain at forty-four per week, but wages are increased by one-farth-ing per hour. Tradesmen now receive 2s 2d ner hour, and planers, shapers, slotters" and bosers 2s OJ-d per hour. It is now compulsory that men who have worked all day and till after midnight shall be allowed an eight-hour break, or be paid double time for work done on the following day.
