TRUCK AND CART COLLIDE.

HORSE DESTROYED

As a result of a collision on Monday afternoon, a horse had to be destroyed iu the street. The accident took place at the intersection of Ollivicr's road and Tuam and Harrow streets. Mr P. Xccdham, baker, of 2TA Stanmore road, was driving his horse and cart in the direction of Ferry road. A Ford truck, Christchureh !»73* was travelling along Harrow street in the direction of the city. When Mr Ncedham was crossing the intersection the truck struck his horse, one of the animal's front legs being broken above the knee and near the hock. The horse was valued at £2O. Both Mr Ncedham aud his assistant were thrown heavily on to the road, and suffered bruises and a severe shaking. The cart was also badly damaged. ANOTHER COLLISION.
