METHODIST WOMEN'S AUXILIARY. The annual meeting of -the Methodist Women's Auxiliary of Home and Foreign Missions was held in the Durham street schoolroom yesterday afternoon. The J. A. Fleßher) .presided over a good attendance. The seventeenth annual report stated that the general monthly meetings had been weU attended and some interesting addresses on mission work'had been given, fhe annual conference was held in Timaru in October. Tho total income was £3Ol 12s 3d. Mi Ffrank Thompson, 'in nuoving thj adoption of the reports, expressed his pleasure at the large attendance. The balancesheet was exceedingly creditable and the report showed what women could do when they combined. The Mayor said that splendid work was being done by the womer of the church in connexion with mission mutt/re. During the last few years, great strides had been made. A church that ceased to be a missionary church, soon became a "misßing' church. During the afternoon a hymn was sung in Chinese by the Kev. and Mrs G'anville, of the China Inland Mission, who also' gavo addresses, dealing with their work as missioners. At the conclusion of the addresses, afternoon tea was dispensed. ,
