In the House of Representatives tonight, tho following, Uvwl Bills were put through their lirtit stages ora Borough Valuation of Farm Lands for Hating Purposes (the Hon, P. Buddo). Sumner Borough and Heath* eoto (McCormick's Bay) Bill ;Mr McCombs), Opotiki Hospital t-iet Hill (Mr Williams), Auckland fcileettic Power Board Act Amendmentj3ju (Mr Potter), Whakataive Borough Empowering Hill (Mr Hockley), Tolaga Bav Hurbour Board Empowering Act •Vuiendment Bill (Mr Williams), Wel'in"io:i Citv Kmpowering Act Amendment Bill ('Mr Wright), Dunedin City Corporation Kropowerinsr Bill (the Hon. W. Dowuie Wtewart). Mr R. A. Wright moved the second reading of the Wellington City Mangahao Endowment Sale Empowering Bill, which was strongly attacked by Messrq Fraser, R-olleston, M'iKeen and Armstrong,' hut on a division tho second reading was agreed to by 26 votes to 15. The House -rose sit 12.10 a.m.
