MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
SOUTHLAND'S WEEK-END RECORD. (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) JNVERCAEGILL, September 22. An 11-year-old boy, the son of Mr A. W. Cole, was run over by a motor car on Saturday afternoon on the North road and seriously injured. He was removed to hospital, where he is still unconscious. ? Oa Sunday afternoon a car driven by James Hcnton, traveller for Kcmptliorne, Prosser and Co., Ltd., capsized at Underwood through the bursting, of n tvrc. Hcnton was pinned under the i-ar* but was extricated by local' residents. Hcnton is in hospital suffering from a broken rib, injured shoulder, and cuts. . On Saturday a car containing five passengers capsized at "Waiwera through the bursting of a tyre, and fell down a 30-foot bank. A. C. Perrin, of the reporting staff of the "Southland Times (formerly of "The Press" staff), had a shoulder blade broken and received severe cuts and bruises. The others escaped with minor injuries. The ear was badly damaged.
