PIONEER LODGE.
The Pioneer Lodge, No. I U.A.0.D., met I on Monday, A.D. Bro. C. Clayton presiding' i over a large attendance of members. Correspondence was received from the Bev. Canon Mutter inviting the Lodge to take part in the annual church parade on October 11th. It was decided to accept the invitation. The bards reported 17 brothers .under their care, and the sum of £l2 18s 4d was passed for sick pay. After the usual Lodge business was finished, a meeting of the Children's Christmas Tree Committee was held. P.A. Bro. A. H. Rickard was appointed chairman, and P.G.P. Bro. H. E. Smith secretary. It was decided to hold the function on December 22nd, if the secretary could secure the Lodge Hall. A sub-ocm-mittee consisting of the chairman, secretary, an P. A. Bro. Giles was appointed to buy the toys.
