Westland Land Board. At yesterday's sitting of- the"'Westland Land Board, Mr J. Murdoch read a letter from two residents of Maitainui protesting against the exchange of a reserve which was proposed as a township site for one on Scally road, as suggested by a number of settlers in that part of the district. The writers contended that the original site was the more central, and stated ther& was a church in the vicinity. The Commissioner said he had met both parties of settlers, and there appeared to be equal support for both sites. It was decided to take no action.
