SCOTTISH SOCIETY'S BENEFIT CONCERT.
The annual concert given by the Scottish Society in aid of the Presbyterian Orphanages took placo in the Society's rooms last night, before a largo audience. Chief J. C. Chisholm presided; and in some opening remarks referred to tho good work baing done by the orphanages. A pleasingly varies programme was submitted, consisting of the loiiowing items: —Highland real, Miss Bruco's pupils; song, Mr Allison; recitation. Master X)ayie Dickson; Highland fling, Miss Bruce'a pupils; cornet duet, Messrs Mayfield blathers; reoit&tion, Mr Len Gumnuns; eeiuiii tnubhais. Misses Kathio "Walton »nd Eileen Harris 4 aong, Mx Leslie Fleming; Irish reel (Tod later, International reol), Misses I). Druca, D. Phiilipgon, M. Aitken, and Join Craig; iluto and elirin-t, Messrs Munro and Bennett; song Miss Jessie hing; Dutch dance, Misses Jtathto Walton, liutty Bruce, and Mavis Neate; recitation, Mr Fmser Thomson; euphonium and ccirnet, Messrs Brundell and Creigh; Mrs McGillivray and party; Gillie Calum, Miss Joy ilaclachlan; and eong, JJr Colville. The accompanist was Mrs A- E. Smith.
