Al the Supreme Court to-day, the hearing was commenced of the charge of manslaughter against Frank MeDevitt, in connexion with the death of Traffic Inspector William Cross on the Hutt road, on tho evening of April 26th, when cars were returning from Trentham races. The Crown Prosecutor said that it would be shown in evidence, that as soon as MeDevitt loft Trentham, he commenced speeding, .
