ULSTER OFFER REPEATED. (AUBTEAIiIAJT ATO ».*. CABLM ASSOCIATION.' LONDON, August 10. Sir James Craig- (Prime Minister of Northern Ireland) has issued a statement in which he reiterates his offer to meet Mr W. T. Cosgrave (President of the Executive Council of the Irish Free, State), in a friendly spirit to settle the boundary question with the aid of expert opinion. Any other method of settlement, he says> would only reopen the whole Irish question with disastrous results to Ireland and the Empire. o Mr Austen Chamberlain, speaking at Northwfch (Cheshire) asked: "Cannot Sir James Craig and Mr Cosgrave take their courage into their own hands and strike out on a line which will deal evenhanded jusiice between the two States?" ' No Liberal or Conservative who was party to the Irish Treaty, he added, would agree to the bargaining away of Fermanagh and Tyrone. Great wisdom would be needed to prevent a national disaster.
