BALL AT KAIKOURA.

The bachelors and spinsters of Kaikoura held a most successful ball in the Drill Hall on Thursday night, when there was a very large attendance, benedicts having a free invitation. The music was excellent, while a splendid supper, at which there were- five sittings, was provided. Dr. G. I. Miller and Mr G. Gooch acted as M.C. 's. 'i'lit music was provided by an orchestra comprising Miss P. Harris, Messrs C. Ogden, J. Williamson, and W. Perrin. Kxtras were played by Misses E. jjlacKle. M. Macule, and Holland, and Mr E. Flower.
