Tho general secretary had ordered i froni Imperial Headquarters Wcout overI coats for the boys attending the Jamboree, also a supply of badges and literature to augment stocks. Mr Smith, in moving 'the adoption of the report, said that headquarters had supplied the Christchurch Local Asso. fiation with a list of those in Christchurch who subscribed to. headquarters' fund, so that the Local Association, in sending out its appeal, would not overlap. Some of the head quarters' subscribers had vecsived the Local Association's circular. The chairman said that he had made; ! arrangements with Mr C. H. Clibborn, of the Christchurch Local Association, and lie was quite sure that the names £ro:;i. tJ >e headquarters' list had been inadvertently included in the Local Association's list. It would be wrong to assume th:it tho Local Association's action was deliberate. Mr Smith said that he did not suggest that for a moment. Mr Bishop said that the position was as stated by the chairman. Eefcrring to the overcoats bought for the New Zealand Troop fit th 3 Imperial Jamboree, Mr Smith said that he feit sure that despite the bad weather experienced in England the boys would be all right. The report was adopted.

Sea Scouts. Sir Churlewood submitted the report of tho Sea Scout Committee, -whieh stated that arrangements were in hand to put the Sea Scout and its boats in good order by the end of October. Referring to a telegram from Blenheim dealing with Sea Scout matters in that tovn, which .appeared in "The Press" of July 31st, the report stated that the reference in the telegram to the Marine Department not beisg "prepared to allour the boat to remain in a place where it «aa not appreciated," wad quite inaccurate. Tho Boy Scouts' Association had bought the boat from the Jtepiiiment, which had now no control over it. Arrangements wore being made for the boat to be transferred to the Nelson Iron Doke Troop. Replying to Mr Goodman, Mr C'narlr•wo«d said that until the Sea Scout was in order, and hammocks were procured, j,t raut impossible to invits other troops

to maize use of the ship, which would be ready for use in October. The report was adopted, and it was decided to accord a vote of thanks to Lieutenant-Commander Tebbs for visiting the different Sea Scout Troops and i reporting ou them. Now Troops. It was reported that new Eoy Scout Troops iu ; -d been formed at Wsipukurau, Nelson (2), Wellington (2), and Fairlie. Proposed Gilwell Camp. It was stated that Mr B. A. Seward, Deputy Cain7> Chief, would bo in Christchurch next* weok to discuss the matters relating to holding a. Crilwell Camp at Christmas. _ After some discussion it was decided to*ask the Training Committee to communicate with the Christchurch Local Association, with the view of arranging ;i meeting between Mr Seward ana Christchurch Scoutmasters. Gisborne District. The appointment of _ Dr. Bowie _as Commissioner for the Gisborne district, vice Mr H. A. King, was approved.
