CASUALTIES.
SUDDEN DEATH. Oil Thursday evening while attending a dance at Ohokn, Cyril 'WilliaiQ Lynskey, aged 24 years, eldest son of Mrs J."and the late William Lynskey, Wilson Siding died suddenly, snppr«edly from heart failure. Deceased crossed the road to the store and was hurrying bick to the hall to take part m the dancing when h© expired. An inquest wilt be held at 9 a.m. to-day.
(TBTSa ASSOCIATION TELEG2AHS.) DUNEDIN, July 25. Susan Bruce, married, living at North-East Valley, dicfi suddenly -while sitting at the fire last evening. While being conveyed by ambulanco from Balclutha to the Dunedin Hospital, John Maclaren, aged 55 years, # a widower, residing at Romahapa, died. Deceased complained of abdominal Dains. GORE, July 25. George Whittingham, a single man, ,iged forty, fell into a vat of scalding water at his father's brewery at Gore on Tuesday morning. He was immersed to the hips, but -was speedily rescued by his father. His injuries were not at first regarded aa serious, but ho succumbed to-day i TvANGANUI, July 25. A Ford car was wrecked in Carlton avenue this evening through a head-on collision with a Chinaman's cart. The five occupants of the ear was thrown violently on the roadway, and two werti admitted to the Wanganui HospitalAlexander Svkes. tallv clerk, suffering from a fractured skull and Petei Hartshorn, a member of the "Wanga nui Chronicle" reporting staff, suffering from severe bruises and shook. The others escaped with minor injuries. Rona Hall, aged 19 yenrs, residing at 4&4 Hagley avenue, was knocked down by a motor-car near the West Christchurob High at 7.30 last evening. She was admitted to tho Ghristcnurch Hospital suffering from a, fractured leg. Last night she was reported to b& progressing satisfactorily.
