LYTTELTON FANCIERS' CLUB.

ANNJJAL SHOW.

Record, entries were received for the Lyt>lton Fanciers' Club's third annual show, ■which wae opened in the Drill .nail yesterday. Tho entries numbered 1135 and exceeded the previous highest total by 108, although the toy dog classes were dropped this year. The numbers in the various sections -were:—Poultry -160, bantams M 3, pigeons 195, eggs and trussed poultry 17, canaries 135, cats 64, needlework 121. The officials of the club have evidently learned much from the past two shows, as this year tho staging of tho exhibits was greatly improved, especially the display ol art needlework and pen painting, whicfc alone is well worth a visit to the show. The cat section will be benched and judged to-day. ; ■ Tho judges were as follows:— Poultry, open section, Mr F. Dacre, Game, Brown Leghorns and ail bantam classes; Mr J. Xindall, all other breeds. Poultry, utility classes, Mr C. Bell, Rhode Island Reds and all light breeds; Mr J. Tindall, al other breeds; Mr J. D. Lufaro, dressed poultry and eggs. Pigeons, Mr T. Jones, all varieties of fancy pigeons; Mr A. Buckley, all h->mer classes. Canaries and cage birdß, Mr K. Thompson, all varieties. Cats, Mr T Jones. Art reedlework, Mrs F. R.
