TROUBLE AT WANHSIEN

PEKING, Juno 22.
A wireless message has been received by the American Legation fron Wanhsien confirming tho death of th< American, Hawley, following a dispute with junkmen.
The message states that tho cpmmander of the British gunboat Cockchafer, acting with commendable rigour and promptitude, under tho threat of bombardment of the city, compelled tho leading military authorities to follow Hawley's cortego afoot to the grave, also to execute two of the prin cipal junkmen. [Earlier advices from Wanhsien stated that an American named Hawley, manager of the Arnold Company or Shanghai, was killed by junkmen, who were, agitating agninst the steamers, believing that they arc taking away their living.]
