Walters presided over a good attendance. An appeal was received from the May-field Club asking for a reinstatement to juniors of a senior member of the club. The Uniou resolved lo adhere to ita previous decision and not grant the reinstatement. Permission was granted tho High School team to travel to Kangiora to meet the Itangiora High School on Saturday. Dates were considered for representative fixtures between Ashburton and Ellesniere mid Malvern. Tho Canterbury Union asked tlu'.t these matches be- played prior to the Town v. Country match on J.u'y 80th. The following tentative programme was drawn up, subject tr confirmation from tho Unions concerned • -Seven-a-suda tourney, July 12th; v. The visitors have a. great reputation for clever back play, and patrons can look forward to a brilliant game, providing the conditions are good.
