UNLIT CYCLES.
TO THS IDITOa OF "THE P2ESS."
Sir.—Notwithstanding the "warning recently given cyclists as to having lamps and reflectors fitted to their bikes, a large number still refuse to fit either of these necessaries, and with the winter now on us, these careless and law-defying Tiders are an unmitigated nuisance. As one who has to do much cvcling after dark, I am open to Bay that Woolston has probably more lawbreaking cyclists than any other district. Any night and at any hour after 5 o'clock these selfish riders can be seen at the corner of Ensor's road and Ferry road heading for "Woolston, and caring nothing for the annoyance they cause those who respect the law. A good haul could be made by stationing a police officer at the corner mentioned. Woolston cyclists have no excuse for neglecting to" equip their bikes as thf> law directs, as an up-to-date cycle depot is within a hundred yards of the point indicated.—Yours, etc., CYCLIST. - June loth. 5
