MONEY LOST IN BETTING.
(MUSS ASSOCttTION MUMBAH.) AUCKLAND, June 16. ' The theft of £IOO wns admitted by James Thomas Foster Hownrth, who pleaded guilty in the Police a charge of having stolen £B2 and £/»> the property of the New Zealand Government, <at Tuakau. He gave a far.mer a receipt for that amount, but failed to hand the money in, destroying ,the duplicate of receipt. £ Accused, in a statement, admitted ti\- that he had misappropriated other sums v to a total of £167, while postal officer fc&. at Tuakau.
