BURWOOD PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION.
At a meeting of tha Social Committee of the Burwood Progressive Association, the following members were present: Messrs J. "Wilson, G. Robinson, G. Lewis, A. Cumberpatch, J. Partridge, K. Todhunter, and L. B. Bradetock. It -was decided to hold the next ocial evening on the 2lst inst., when a waltzing competition will be held. Mr J. Wilson was asked to procure tho prizes and Messrs K. Todhunter and L. B Bradstock were appointed judges. It was decided to ask the Rev.C. A. Tobin to have the piano tuned before tho nxt socialThe secretary reported that the last social evening was very successful and enjoyable. The euchre vrizea were won by Ht* k-uls and Mr Fau*es, while the consolation gwurda went to Mjss Nelson and Mr Poninghouße. A 'uckv spot waltz was won by Miss Partridge and Mr Isles. Mr Salkeid acted as pianist in a. very capable manner. -the treasurer reported a credit balance on the years socials so far. It was decided to use every effort to still further increase it.
