Morgan, a past-president of the Association, advising mat lie was sending & framed enlargement oi himself, and hoping the Association would honour him by hanging his photo with those of other paat-preaHlehta in the Association room. Dowling had asked him to announce that as the Dowling Memorial Clip, which he had presented to the Association, had been Won outright, hft had decided to present a Dowling Memorial Shield; to he Won annually, the winner each year to "have his name , engr&ved ori the shield. Mr Dowling wis ] thanked for hia veiy generous donation. The resignation of Mr J. McCuJooh was accepted with regret, he havlpg left the' district. Mr Jaß. Bland, of Winchmoro, notified his intention of presenting a cup valued at 5 guineas to replace the Clip he won at the last Show. Mr E. J. Low brought up the question of horsea arid cattle grazing' oil *he Afaociation'a ground, a cl"vus« in the lease forbidding this. It was decided to advise the lessees that horses and cattle ara not to be allowed on the grounds. Mr A. D. Hariii was elected a tnember of the Association, Tho secretary was instructed to write to the Canterbury A. and P, Association in reference to tlie priie for* the district exhibit nt the Winter Show. Mr Jas. Carr, as president of the Methr von Farmers' Union, expressed hia appreciation of tho Association 8 ftotion itt Chslhging the date of thei* annual social to prevent clashing xvith the Dominion jWraera' Union delegates' lecture.
