FATHER ARRESTED.
ALLEGED MURDER OP BABY. (BT CABLE—PBSBS ASSOCIATION COfTBXOST.) (AUSTRALIAN AND H.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, June 8. Following neighbours' stories that the 10 months' old baby boy of a married couple named Travis, residing at Marylebone, was missing, the police questioned them. They first statert the baby had been sent to the care of friends. Later Travis, who is aged 21, admitted that the child had been restless at night. He squeezed its nose to quieten it, and it ceased breathing. He placed the body in a kit bag and left it in the New street railway cloakroom. Detectives found it there and arrested Travis on a charge of murder.
