EMPIRE METAL MINERS.

The closing session of the mining congress at Wembley resolved to constitute an Imperial Council of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute. Tho constitution includes provision for: (1) Communication and co-opera-tion between the constituent bodies throughout the Empire; (2) the fostering and maintenance of a high level of technical efficiency and professional status, and establish a register of professional mining metallurgists.
