THE ESTIMATES.
(BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, March 5. The- "Daily Mail" states Mr Philip Snowden hopes to reduce the tax on tea by a penny a pound, and to corrspondingly reduco the sugar tax. He will also reduce the entertainment tax. The Navv Estimates will be reduced by £7,000,000, while the Air Force Estimates will be increased hy £2.000.000.
The total reduction in the Estimates amounts to £45,000,000.
