SUBSTITUTES FOR LEATHER

WELLINGTON, March 6,
Eepresentatives of the Boot Manufacturers' Association waited on the Minister of Customs and Minister of Labour to-day to discuss questions dealing with the importation of footwear containing composition or substitutes for leather.
The Ministers agreed to consider what should be done to protect the public against shoddy footwear over and above the existing legislation.
