CANTERBURY CENTRE. A meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Club was held last night. Present—Messrs C. S. McCully (in chair), W. G. Brass, J. K. Malonev, P.. Beattie, C. M. Yates, W. C. FJewellyn, and H. Cross. It was decided to write to the New Zealand Cricket Council thanking them,for the facilities granted in connexion with tho exhibition race lield during the interval of the crickot match between New Zealand and New South Wales on Saturday last. It was decided to distribute passes to competitors at tho gate. • Other minor matters were completed in connexion with the Can tcrbnry Championship meeting, to be held on Saturdav nexrt.

On tho motion of Mr H. Cross, it was decided to hold a special meeting on March 19tli, at which two representatives from each club (president and secretary), should bo requested to be present, to discuss the future position of the Centre. In regard to the selection of the Canterbury team to compete in the New Zealand Championships, at Dunedin on March 22nci', it was decided to hold over the selection until after the Canterbury Championship meeting.

GREYMOUTH MEETING. The Canterbury representatives will leave to-day for Grcymouib. to take part in wi© bis athletic caxnival and championships.
