"VVesterman is president of the conferenoe. The neat tents are miniature homes, and the marquees serve as dining-rooms, kitchens and meeting halls. '
The camp meeting opened last night at 7.45 with an'address by the pastor on "The Purpose of Camp Meeting: Why We Are Here," and until February 10th it will remain in full swing. Each morning devotional service begins at 6.30, and is followed by forenoon instruction in Gospel themes. Bible addresses, business meetings and youfag people's meetings- will fill in many afternoons, 1 and each evening will be conducted by the preachers. "Lights out" is called at 9.45 p.m. The campers extend a welcome to all visitors. - An explanation of the camp is given by the Seventh Day Adventists in the following words: —Instead of this being attempted in churches or halls amid the nervous rush of city life, this body selects a quiet ground_ reasonably accessible by traffic conveniences, and thereon erects family tents, which they hire put to their people. 11l this way, for a term of ten days, the people of this conference are invited to leave their homes, and the busy round of life cares, and to turn aside and seek after Divine things. ,
