LOAN PROPOSAL REJECTED.
(?EESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.j MASTERTON, December 5. Ratepayers of the south ward of Masterion borough to-day rejected a proposal to raise a loan of £26,300 to revise the water reticulation. An apathetic poll, in which four-fifths of tne ratepayers dkl not record their votes, resulted against the proposal by a majority of 64.
