Frank Ellis, 37, a married man with two children, was fatally injured by falling bales of wool at the JNew Zealand Shipping Company's store at Port Ahhriri tuis afternoon. Ellis was 1 the driver of a tractor, behind which was a load of wool. The ropes had been taken oG the hales of wool, and Ellis, in order to save the tractor from any possible damage, was in act of uncoupling it, when tho. Dales fell. Many helpers removed the wool, but Ellis was so severely injured that he died immediately on being released.
