CLAY BIRD CHAMPIONSHIP. The Eltesmere. Gun .Club held thejr clay birdchampidnship .at Lakeside. Owing to the strong" wind, the 'shooting was difficult.'. The conditions'were 21 birds ' off 16 yards, foi v a diamond medal presented by the'club. ,W. Quigley, F. Alexander, W. Patterson, f! Graham'and L.-Lemon; each with sixteen breaks; had.to- shoot -off, the "winner being L. Lemon, with F. Graham as runner-up. No. I'sweep"-.was divided; by ,-W. E.; Donald and S. Vince, with the possible", while Lemon, Graham and G. Nairn divided No. 2 sweep.' No. 3 was a ''first miss out," and was' divided' by F. Alexander and W. E. Donald'. ' . Alexander- won the trophy presented by the president,: Mr F. Rowell, i'or'th'e best aggregate in three matches, gaining 29 out of a pcssilile of 30, which was a splendid, performance. . < The following have been selected to represent Ellesmere .at. a- shoot in Christchurch on Saturday, for the '_ G.A.C.
