CYCLING SPORTS. On Saturday afternoon, at English. Park, St Albans, ilia public oi Chrisicnurch will have an oppQitnuity of witnessing firsveiass cycle racing. Tlio track is banked, is, in first-class order, and favwrablo for fast times. An exceptionally good entrv has> been received, including Phil O'Shca "(track and road champion), H. P. The New Zealand Racing Conference wroio directing attention to the new rule as to the disposal of the funds of a club dissolving. A committee was appointed to revise the rules and have them printed and registered. The suggestions made by the stipendiary steward were considered, and it was decided to extend the totalisator ,house, increase the sellers of tickets at the motor entrance procure a balloon for signalling to the starter, recommend the Programme Committee to increase the distance of the Jumpers' Flat to nine lurlongs to give a better, starting point, to leave the committee room free for consideration of enquiries, to place on the totalisator the positions ot tho riders :it the starting posts, to arrange for notice boards to record tho time a race is run in, and official notices and scratchings. All these improvements were referred to the Special Committee appointed for that purpose. The suggestion to engage a: ehorthand writer was not approved.
