THE DUNEDIN FLOODS.
(special to "ths phsss.") DUNEDIN, July 11. Mr J. S. Douglas, ex-Mayor, saw Mr Massey at Wellington, and asked about the payment of the flood relief subsidy. Mr Massey replied that the promised £2OOO for Dunedin would be ready for payment as soon as the necessary application was sent in, giving the particulars required.^ An examination will now be made in respect to a sawmill that was washed away, storekeepers' stocks that have been ruined, and houses that have been damaged.
