GRAIN AND STOCK CLERKS' SOCIETY.
The annual general meeting of the Canterbury Grain and Stock Clerks Society (incorporated), was held on- Thursday, in Messrs Dalgety and Company's land sale room. Moat of the firms coming under the agreement were well represented at tae meeting. The chairman briefly reviewed the wort of the past year as set out in the report. Certain concessions had been granted to the guild's members through the efforts of the committee, and the year's work altogether had been quite satisfactory. The corumittet auton.a-.ically retired, as provided by the rules, «nd the following! Jffitfcrs were elected for the eiming year: President Mr G. H. Bartlett; vice-president, Mr F. M. L. Sheppard; honorary secretar.', Mr W. E. Cronin; honorary treasurer, Mr L. W." Stewart; general committee: Messrs H. W. G. Armitage, A. McDonald, A. C. Vincent, L. Davies. P. L. Mansell; special commits, Messrs G. H. Bartlett, A. C. Vincent, H. W. G. Armitage; trustees, Messrs G. H. Bartlett, L. W. Stewart; honorary auditor, Mr H. A. Lawry. A new schedule of salaries to be placed before employers in June wafTaubinitted to and discussed by the meeting, and eventuallv adopted. The meeting closed with votes of thanks to the out-going committee, and to the chairman.
