Hollander, Ltd., costume and mantle manufacturers, of 623 Colombo street, had it not been discovered early yesterday morning. Two boys, who were going rabbiting noticed the smell of burning cloth and some smoke as they .were going down Colombo street at five minutes past six o'clock. They gave the alarm, and the Fire Brigade had little difficulty in putting' out the flames with a chemical extinguisher. The pressing bench was covered with several layers of cloth and these must have smouldered for hours befoxa *ey burst into flame and set light to the floor underneath. The damage is esti-mated-at £io. Had the premises been burnt, the origin of the fire would, of course, have been "a, mystery."
