WESTMINSTER GLEE SINGERS.
The final concerts of Mr Edward Branscombe's Westminster Glee Singers took place on Saturday at the Choral Hall. Both matinee and evening performances, each providing an admirable programme, were largely patronised, though by no means to the full capacity 01 the mul. -There was every good reason for anticipating full houses all through their season. When it was recognised that in the selection of his highiy trained singers, including some of exceptional merit Mr Branecombe has exercised keen, judgment; that by their artistic abilities proved in a wide field of specifically Engash musical craftmanship, they were found worthy of the claims advanced, a more enthusiastic support could have been, forthcoming. But, of course, as we know, it takes a good deal to stir up the good Christchurch people and tempt them to the Choral Hall. Better times may be coming, must come for our good name a sake, with the realisation of the long dreamt of new. City Concert Hall. Critically, in reference_to the two Saturday concerts, there is nothing new, but everything commendable to be eaifl and a word of farewell.
