CASUALTIES.
Norman Cree, aged seventeen, who lives at Scarborough, bumuer, while cranking a motor-car yesterday morning, broke his right wrist necessitating his being attended at the Hospital. Noel Clemens, a High School boy, residing with his parents at keppell street, New Brighton, fell off the 8.20 a m express tram yesterday morning, the wheels of the last car passing ovei one of his legs. He was given attention by Dr. W. E. Stevens and conveyed to the Hospital in Mr F. M. Wyatt's car, his mother accompanying him.

At the inquest on Herbert HaginaW Johnson, wno was Kiuetl as the result of being knocked dow.n by a motor-car driven uy ihomas H\ liauey, the Coroner returned a verdict that the cause of death was a fractured skull received through being, knocked down by a motor-car negligently driven by Bailey, who had ignored all notices warning motorists against trams and excessive SPee ' MASTERTON, April 27. While fording cattle through the Whareama river this morning the body of a man, considerably decomposed, was found lying in two feet of water. The body was later identified as t«t of Frank Marshall, 33, a returned soldier, who had been working in the district for 18 month's. He had been missing since April 14th.
