ST. JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE.
The Reckenham Nursing Division met on Tuesday e.ening, Mrs M. Cordy, Lady .Superintendent, being in charge. Major 'W. W. MoKinney gave the Division a lecture on "Improvising," and afterwards put the members through several tests. It was pointed out that for successful improvising it was necessary to have a good knowledge of First Aid and to test everything thoroughly before us'.ng. Lengths of rope, jjentlemen's ties and walking sticks were amongst the many things utilised in rendering first aid in the case of a broken knee-cap. broken collar-bone, and broken shoulder-blade. The teams made both rope and coat stretchers. At the conclusion of the meeting, Major MclCinney was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
