MAYOR'S SCHEME ADOPTED. * | <. A meeting was held in the Sumner Town Hall last night to consider the proposal of the Mayor, trie Hon. J. Barr, M.L.C., for a Peace Memorial. The Rev. W. McAra, president of the Burgesses's Association, presided. The Mayor said that there had been several proposals for a Peace Memorial, but owing to their unpopularity or to their great cost, none had been aceepted.
