ELLESMERE GUN CLUB.
PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. , On Thursday night a very successful conoert and danoe were held in th« Lakeside Hall by the Ellesmere Gun Club, when the trophies won during the season were presented. There was a larg» attendance. Mn F. Howell presided, and explained that the function hatl rea'.ly been arranged in honour of the ladies, in appreciation of their BerYices throughout the year. Mr Howell spoke feolingly of the death of the club's late president (Mr Robert Patterson), a man honoured and reepected throughout • the district, and a motion of condolence was carried in the usual respectful manner. An excellent programme "of songs and other items was given by Miss Harris, Mrs Trollop e,. Miss Ebert, Mr W. Watson, Miss Webster, Mr White, Mr T-Pol-lope. The performers were thanked on the motion of Mr W. R. Donald. Trophies won during l the season, which made up a very fine collection, were presented by the chairman to the following:—J, Winchester, A. Thian, It. C. Lemon, P. Graham, H. W. Quigley, W. R. Donal3, D. McGregor and L. Ebert. Presentations were made to the secretary, on 'behalf of the members, in appreciation of his services, and to Mr G. Nairn, treasurer.
