CHINESE FOOTBALLERS.
AKRANGEMENTS COMPLETE. The proposal of the New ' South Wales Rugby League and the New Zealand League to bring a team of Chinese University footballers to this part of the world is talcing definite shape, for two representatives of the combined leagues—Messrs H. A. Millard and J. Shaw—have left by the steamer Yoshino Maru for Hongkong to make final arrangements for the tour, saj-3 the "S3-d----ney aun." it is said that the Chinese piny Rugby football very well, and that all they require is tuition in the points of Rugby League to make them first-class players. In order that thoy might have the best posfible tuition the League authorities have secured tho services of L«s Cubitt, the captain of the last Australasian team that toured England, as instructor, and he will proceed to China on the Aki Maru on December 20th. The Chinese footballers will first play in New Zeala.ndi commencing in June next year, and afterwards will go to Sydney. Subsequently they will tour Queensland. It is not'' anticipated that there will be anv difficulty in getting the right claaa of Chinese; all of them will be University men, who £peak English well.
