CASUALTIES.
A nine-year-old boy named Jack Hal!, whose parents reside at 193 Brougham street, Sydenham, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night, suffering from a severe flesh wound in the right leg. The boy, who was spending a holiday at Coutt's Island, fell from a haystack and struck his leg on a tree stump. A. Lemmon, residing at 43 Francis avenue, collided with a motor-car while riding a motor-cycle on Saturday evening. He was cut about the face, hands, and legs, and bruised about the body. Ho was removed to the hospital, where he was treated at the outpatients' department and discharged. \Y. H.'Kennedy, a railway shunter, fell between a ear and th,e platform at Eolloston on Saturday, and received a large flosh wound in the .thigh. He was brought to the Christchurch Hospital, whore he received treatment in the out-patients' ward. ■ (PBISS ASSOCIATIO.V TELMIUU.) DUNEDIN, December 9. Isaac Myers, a single man, aged 24, was found dead in bed this morning. An empty poison bottle was found alongside him. Robert Knox, aged 40, ..living at Abbotsfordj. received injuries to his skull while working at the southern reservoir. He died in hospital. The deeoased leaves a widow and five children.
