Tho soaron of the Aadmgton Amateur Swimming Club wan opened on Saturday afternoon under ideal weather conditiona, and in th« presence-of a large, gathering oi J. Howard, M.P., congratulated the club on the. extensive improvements that had been made to the bath, and stressed the importance of all. children being taught to Canon Bean, patron of the club, thai declared the season open, and took t|i»'feat plunge. A programme of club races was decided, with the" following results:— 50 Yards Junior and Schoolboys' Handicaps—Gray 1, Squires 2, Jcocph 3. 50 Yards Handicap—First heat: Cook 1, Joseph 2 ' Heatherington 3.
