The Christcliureh Defence Eifle Club held ita second long-range competition at Tsi • Tapu on Saturday. The conditions wore 7 : shoi9 at 800 yds and 7 at 1000.' Some good scores were made at 800—.Piper 34, Logan. _33, Morgan 33, Nelson '32, and Manasen, 32 beiiwj the best. At 1000 yds rang©, the conditions, owing to the high wind were not so favourable, and misses were much in evidence. I Logan again, shot well and he came out the winner of tho match..
