Sir Robert Sanders, Minister of Agriculture, addressing the Council of Agriculture, announced his attention of appointing a Departmental Committee to consider the difference between the prices of commodities the producer received and the consumer paid. It waß proposed to spend £850,000 on agricultural research in the next five years, and £450,000 on land drainage before May.
