FIRES.
(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) WAIPUKURAU, November 20. The Town Hall was destroyed by fire at 11.30 on Saturday night. A picture show was held in the building an hour previously. Everything appeared to be safe when tlie building was locked up, and the cause of the outbreak is a mystery. Incendiarism is suspected, as this is the fourth mysterious outbreak that has occurred here during the last few months. Insurances on the building and contents total £1350. i
GISBORNE, November 20. A fire at Matawai destroyed the Accommodation House, and also the premises occupied by Cruickshank and Goldsmith, and the Bank of Australasia.
