COURT STAR OF CANTERBURY, No. 2309, A.O.F.
The fortnightly meeting of the Court Star of Canterbury, No. 2309, Ancient Order of Foresters was held in the Foresters' Hall last week. Chief Ranger Bro. C. W. F. Higgott presided over a large attendance of members. £iak pay amounting to £23 was passed for sick benefits. Bio. O. Jecobaeih, P.D.C.R., Bro. J. Watkin, P.D.C.R., and Bro. F. J. Weakley, P.C.R., delegates to the Canterbury United District, A.0.F., gave their report of the last meeting of the District. The reports were received, and ihe delegates were accorded a vote of thanks. Bro. 0. Jacobsen, P.D.C.R., was congratulated by the C.R. on his being elected to the position of district secretary. The reports of the delegates to the U.F.S. Picnic Committee were received, and it was stated that the U.F.S. picnic was to be held at Rangiora on Boxing Day. The sum of £1 Is was voted by the Court towards the picnic prize fund. Bro. Wilson was elected a delegate to the U.F.S. Picnio Committee in place of Bro. C. W. F. Higgott resigned.
