STRANGE'S FURNITURE EXHIBIT.

\fter tli© dust and bustle of the livestock pena and the raucous noises of the sideshows it is pleasant to turn to a spot, where all is cool, quiet and restrul. Such is the atmosphere which surrounds W. Strange and Co.'s fine display of high-class furniture. This exhibit is housed in iStrange's own building, on the left hand side of the main thoroughfare leading from the entrance gates to the grandstands. It is iaid out in the form of rooms, each complete in every detail, presenting the furniture just as it will appear in the homes of the fortunate purchasers. The excellence of Strands furniture is established bevond question and this magnificent display will enhance its high reputation. Every piece is designed, made and fin. ished in Strange's own factory and visitors will agree that such splendid productions are a credit to New Zealand craftsmen. Room No. 1 presents a modern Dining Suite in fumed oak, including a handsome extension dining table with elliptical ends and club legs, sideboard with oval mirror and ample cupboard accommodation, four small chairs and two carvers. No. 2 is a Dining Room furnished in the Jacobean style. The sideboard is plain but very effective in design and the round extension table with massive legs is a ivery handsome piece of furniture. Ladder-back chairs, a dinner waggon, and a lampstand complete the suite. No. 3 is an oak Bedroom Suite, comprising doubledoor wardrobe with mirror and leadlights, duchesse with oval mirror, twof' large drawers and two jewel drawers, pedestal cupboard and a fine double bedstead. No. 4is another Bedroom, this time in Jacobean design, the suite comprising large double-door wardrobe with oblong mirror and two drawers, four-drawer duchesse to match, pedestal cupboard and handsome double bed. In room No. 5 Strange's feature examples of their hygienic Wool-Puff Bedding, which is made under most healthfulconditions in their own factory and which can be recommended for comfort, quality and value. Room No. 6 is devoted to a display of Furnishing rics, presenting the latest weaves, colourings and designs for interior decoration. The materials include Shadow Tissues, Cretonnes, Velours, Poplins, etc., and there is also a fine display of Cushions in latest shapes and. styles. A leading feature is the exhibit of Blinds, which are shown in various'styles and colours, all made from the best fadeless Scotch Holland. Strange's have a special staff for this work and can undertake to execute orders promptly, economically and satisfactorily. Altogether this is a most pleasing display and one which every visitor should inspect. The attendants will bo glad to supply, any information and to give free estimates for any furnishing work desired.
