CHARGE OF BURGLARY.
(PSSSS AgSOCIATIOK TZUMKAK.) TAUMARUNTJI, November 9. The hearing of the charge against Jaa. Ferdinand Maclaren and Geo. Carolin Brennan of breaking end entering on February 21st, at Taringamutu, a dwelling house and stealing £I7OO in cash and a post office bank book showing a credit of £BOO, was continued this afternoon. Seventeen witneses were called, several of whom told how Brennan and Maclaren, in conversation, described how the robbery was effected. "Witnesses alleged that the accused told them that two shots of gelignite were fired in the safe before an opening was effected and the money removed". The accused pleaded not guilty and were committed for trial to the Supreme Court, bail being allowed in two sureties of £SOO for each accused. .
