THE N.Z. FARMERS' CO-OPERA-TIVE ASSOCIATION OF CANTERBURY, LIMITED.
The N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, are this year located in their permanent building on Main Avenue, and have arranged a very fine exhibit of five of the famous "Hupniobiies," including Sedan type, touring model, special sporting four-seater, and the celebrated three-seater, all painted in pleasing colours and finished on up-to-date lines. ** The machinery section is of special interest to fanners, the following exhibits being ofoutstanding merit: — The Lister engine is now too well known to require a full description. It can be had in 3, 5, 7, and 9 h.p. sizes, mounted either as a stationary engine or on sledge or transport truck. The engine fills all farm requirements and may. be used for milking machinery, chaff cutting, and for firewood and sawmill purposes. The benzine consumption is particularly low, whilst a special feature is the low cost of upkeep and the small amount of attention required. The Donald wool-press shown is fitted with the maker's patent hoist attachment. By ite use the top box can be quickly raised from floor level into position, after the two boxes have been filled with wool. The main points of advantage shown in this press are compactness, facility for sewing, easy method of packing the wool, ease in releasing the pressed bale, whilst strength, quality and workmanship are found in each press. The Viking cream separator is one which can be thoroughly recommended to the most exacting dairyman. It is manufactured by v one of the largest separator factories in Sweden, has many points of special value, being simple, durable, exceptionally light running, and clean skimming; all gears are fully enclosed and protected from dust and dirt—a special feature being the selfbalanced bowl which hangs free on the top of the spindle. The Viking may be had in a number of sizes for hand and power. This machine will well , repay the time spent on an inspection. Visitors should not fail to inspect the display of "Co-op." binder twine. Ine ever-increasing demand for "Co-op." twine is a sufficient guarantee of its popularity, and it is worthy of note that consequent on its special manufacture to ensure free running, the twine is more economical than other brands.
"Co-op." manures also claim equal attention. As is already" known the famous "Co-op." manures are now being prepared at the Hornby works of Messrs Kempthorne ProsserandCo., and clients can rely on securing special preparations as heretofore. These manures are mixed for the Association according to instructions, and any particular formula. The new arrangement secures to clients the advantage of the highest grade fertilisers at lowest prices. Representatives of the Association are in attendance and will be pleased to explahv the various exhibits and furfullest information.
