LADY STBATHCONA'S MUNIFICENCE. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (United Servioe.) LONDON, November 8. The "Daily Mail" states that Lady Strathcona figured romantically in connexion with Sir C. B. MeGrigor, Bart., and Co.'s bank crash. At the eleventh hour, on the strength of a lifelong friendship between the two families, Lady Strathcona called at the bank and presented Sir James MeGrigor with a cheque for £IOO,OOO. The present could not save the collapse, but will enable the payment of a larger dividend.
