Forecast. , Present indications are for strong northwest to south-west winds, the -weather changeable, with increasing cloud and haziness, and rain following shortly on the West Coast and the southern districts. The barometer has. a falling tendency, but is due to rise everywhere after about twelve hours.

Waunganui, closing at Christchurch on 13th inst. at G. 45 p.m. Mail due in London December 17th. Mails for Chatham Islands close in Christchurch on November 11th at 7 a.m. and 8.45 a.m. mail van, to connect with Kamo at Dunedin on, 13th inst. Mails which left Auckland on the 26th September, via Vancouver, arrived in London on, the 28th October. INCOMING OVERSEA MAILS. Manuka left Sydney for Auckland on November 2nd. t She carries 77 bags mail for Christohurch, including 47 bags from United, Kingdom. Letter portion of Manuka's 'United Kingdom on<s Australian mail will arrive this morning. Ex Matakana, 21 bags United! Kingdom letters will arrive this morning l , IC3 bags newspapers, and 78 bags parcels are due Friday morning. Ulimaroa' left Sydney for Wellington on 4th inst.
